Charles "Buck" Mitchell is a 7th-generation Pensacola native who is passionate about the Pensacola community. 

Buck Mitchell is a life-long Pensacolian who has worked tirelessly to serve his community over the past 50 years. Buck, and his family, own Seville Quarter and The District: Seville Steak & Seafood in historic Downtown Pensacola. He is an active community leader dedicated to many charitable, cultural, and civic causes.

Buck is a strong conservative who is running for office with a platform focused on promoting economic growth, maintaining fiscal responsibility, emphasizing public safety, advocating for our local military, and highlighting Pensacola hospitality.

Over the past 30 years, Buck has been involved with and held leadership positions in many community and charity organizations, some of which include:

  • Six-term Board Member and 2012 President of the Pensacola Council of the Navy League

  • 2019 President of Fiesta, Pensacola’s Executive Board of Governors

  • Past President and Current Executive Board Member of The Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival

  • The ARC Gateway

  • Capstone Learning Academy (formally United Cerebral Palsy)

  • Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northwest Florida

Buck graduated from Pensacola State College with an Associate of Arts Degree. He also attended Florida State University and studied Art & World History and Hospitality Management. He and his wife Jennifer have two children, Turner (24) and Callie (22).

My family has deep roots in Escambia County. My wife, Jennifer, and I are both from Pensacola, and we raised our children here. I am number five of six kids, and I have worked with my dad and siblings for over three decades, so I know how to be part of a winning team.
